Mrs. Dramatic is Back.

I survived what I now like to call
The Great Epidemic of 2012.
Seriously, I was so dang sick.
Fevers all week long.
I spent the majority of my days
in ugly combinations of
bad flannel pants, tee shirts, old man sweaters,
a much over-due for hair dye "do"
and one earth-quaking cough.
I resided here most days.

 but it looked like this

 for days and days.
On Friday afternoon my fever was gone.
I finally got to see the grand kids on Sunday.
That was the worst part.
I missed them so much.
I didn't work out but I did keep up
with all my bootcamp assignments,
my reading, and my food logging.
I stayed on the food plan,
over simplified... 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% fat.
I had to make myself eat most times.
My stomach had a bug too.
In the old days, I would have suffered with
ice cream and buttered toast.
I compromised with whole wheat toast(no butter)
and Greek yogurt.
Blessedly, I am down a total of 10 pounds
and anxious to resume
 more vigorous workouts.
Until my lungs clear up,
I am told by my coach to
keep my activities low intensity and low minutes.
I tried ignoring Coach
and nearly coughed up my left lung.
So I guess it pays to heed that advice.
I watched a show on Netflix
while I was down.
Land Girls, Season 1.
I am in love with it.
Now I have to wait for Season 2 and 3.
It is a BBC program
and I cannot figure out where to watch it
for free in the meantime.
Can anybody help a girl out?
You'd be the berries. :)

So glad you're feeling better. That sure does look like a purty place to be sick in (she says, ending her sentence with a preposition).

I'm still getting caught up on all this Downtown Abbey business, so I can't really help you out with the Land Girls. If I go missing from blogworld for a couple of days, though, check the Abbey.

What a Bummer as you were really getting into your Bootcamp.
You are a trooper to stay with the program while you were sick.
I would have been babying myself with chocolate candy bars
to get me through. The pay off is being down 10 lbs!!!

What is this Land Girls you speak of? I've watched the first season of PBS Masterpiece Theatres Dowton Abbey on Netflix... SCANDALOUS and DEE-LIGHt-FULL!!! I found the second season on PBS.com and now I'm an addict... along with the rest of the Twitterverse... and a few colleagues I have pulled into the drama with me...

Hope you feel better soon, stay hydrated, drink lots of clear fluids and sleep a lot.... a lot.

Land Girls? I'm always about 1/2 a season behind!
What a comfortable place to be sick! (Bet you weren't thinking about that, though.)
And at least you have something to SHOW for it! 10 pounds is nothing to "sneeze" at--
no pun intended.
Be well. STAY well!

I Hope you feel better soon. I have been really ill as well. Streph throat and ear infections and we think something else unknown. I just started a new antibiotic yesterday. Hate it when you get so down. But, I I love your cozy spot. Is it in your living room or in a bedroom. I notice things like that, funny.
I have my kids back today for the first time in 2 weeks.
!0 lbs. Good for you.
Have you tried the vicks thing about the feet......I have heard it works.
Better days ahead......

I know nothing about that show. I think it was a hallucination of yours since I know everything about TV. Not. Glad you are feeling better and Yahoo on the 10 lbs. My sick month was January... still don't have my proper voice - sound like Demi Moore by 5pm. This isn't the "end of days" is it?? Ann
