Give me trees or give me death

We are hiking today.
We hiked yesterday.
Yes, Stuart is hiking!
The man builds fences.
The big guy can lift a fuh-reaking ton of weight.
I swear he could lift these rocks with no problem,
but his calves are a hot mess from the hike.
I am loving it... the hiking
not his painful calves.
That would be mean.
I feel a bit of home
in the woods.
 We walked along Oak Creek
Oak crick to us.
The weather is perfect
for a hike.

We came across the stacked rocks
at Budda Beach.

We didn't know the meaning of them.
I don't believe in psychic, new-agey stuff.
There are all kinds of psychics here.
The whole Vortex thingie.
A little too Sylvia Brown for me.
Give me Jesus.
The rest is dangerous ground
in my opinion.
Satan has powers too
and I don't want him invited in.
A psychic can believe in God,
but Satan believes in God too.
The bible is specific about the use
of mediums and psychics.

Leviticus 20:6 ESV / 92 helpful votes

“If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I wBUt ill set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

Deuteronomy 18:10-13 ESV / 77 helpful votes

There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God,

Leviticus 19:31 ESV / 77 helpful votes

“Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.

1 Chronicles 10:13-14 ESV / 54 helpful votes

So Saul died for his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance. He did not seek guidance from the Lord. Therefore the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.

I hope I don't offend anyone but,
my blog ...my opinions.
I hadn't googled yet so I was a little fearful
of getting into a bad vibe place.
I said The Lord's Prayer on entering and laid out a cross.
Call me a freak,
but it made me feel safer.

What I found on bing was
In a number of native cultures,
including the Hopi Indians of Arizona
and many of the Eskimo Native Americans of Alaska
a stack of rocks was
seen as a symbol of a protective entity.
I had theories about it...
one was just that,
one was the balance in life etc.
I even suggested Jenga.
How fun would that be?
We ran across rocks stacked like male genetalia
and Stuart and I laughed hard.
We have a nephew who finds humor in drawing that.
I won't share the picture though.
(we love and miss you Shane)

 It is gorgeous here.
However, I am beginning to see
that every picture I take
looks like the last one.
Beautiful red rocks.
Beautiful scenery.
Dang, I miss my bed/pillow.
When we get home
I need Dr. Abbie
for a good neck-crack-a-lack.
I miss my kids.
I miss my grands.
Home is the berries.

Dear mom, come home. i will chit chat with you while you run scatterbrained around the house doing a whole lot of random things. Doesn't that sound better than hiking? Plus, I am prettier than those red rocks. :) I am glad you got to spend time with Dad though. He is the berries.

You can never go wrong with the Cross.
When in doubt, always go to the Cross.
You are one smart Cookie!!

You are right Lady! Your blog, your words. Although I did not know all that about mediums and such. Good thing I don't put much stock into such things. However, I do find the rock stacking beautiful and take away that perhaps it is another person's expression of the area just as your cross is... love it all, but I'm with you - you start missing the green and the grands when you are away. Altho my grands are just animals at this point (physically, not behaviorally). Ann

Tomorrow's Bible study is our last in the book "Lies Women Believe and the Truth that Sets them Free". It has been good. In this last chapter, the author talks about how hard Satan works to deceive us an make us believe lies. I think he works overtime via some of the channels (no pun intended) that you encountered & addressed so wisely with God's Word - which IS truth.

You are lucky to have a Dr. Abbie in your family circle. I can imagine how great that treatment will feel.

Looks beautiful, what an adventure. I believe that you carry in your heart what you carry and with that nothing can touch you. Have a great rest of your trip and keep the pictures coming, they don't look all the same.
