My Christmas gift to you

I like to give gifts.
If I could I would give each
and everyone of you a gift
to show you how I appreciate you.
You encourage me,
you tolerate me,
and you love me.
This interwebby is sorta crazy.
I put myself out there...
the good, the bad, the silly,
the mundane and dull for all to see.
You embrace that and I feel it.
Then, I thought of a gift to give you.
Prayer.
I will pray for you every day.
I have been praying for some of you
for some time.
But, I am going to pray for all of you.
If you have a special prayer need,
leave in the comments or send me an email.
I commit to do it for you.
God hears our prayers.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
1 John 5: 14,15

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
 Hebrews 4:16

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,  in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
 Colossians 1:9-14

Thanks dear friend. That's the greatest gift of all. The second greatest gift would be your pink mercury glass candy jar vase. If it is strangely missing from your house one day I imagine it's one of your girls who took it, and not your dear friend who covets it and might take it in payment for certain artistry on her trees on her drive. I'm not a grudge holder and don't like revenge. Or stealing. xoxo

Thank you Janie for letting us laugh, cry and pray for you and your family. Your blog always brightens my day. I am trying to quit smoking and I just cannot get the job done, I pray and pray my will power is weak so maybe if you would pray for me it would help. Thank you so much you and your family are in my prayers... :)

I receive that gift with a HUGE "thank you"! Just this morning, our devotional from My Utmost for His Highest was about intercessory prayer. It challenged me re. my prayer life in a unique way - with a "twist" I need to apply...

Thank you, Janie Fox! I love you :-) If I could ask for one prayer, it would be that I make the right decisions for me and my sweet baby.

Janie, I love reading your blog. :) I needed this post today. Could you pretty please pray for me?? One of my prayers was recently answered (not definite but I'm going on faith that it is) that my hubby got a job back home and we can live in the same house again. I knew that would come but now I just need faith and a miracle that the rest falls into place. Can you please put us on your prayer list? Our marriage, my husband's health, and my desire for a baby/his anxiety, fear, and indecisiveness of a baby are all in the balance! I know God is good but it's been a few years of struggle for us so I pray that God's timing for answers is soon!! :) Praying for you and your sweet family as well. God bless!!

I have wanted to write this for a while, but life got in the way.

If you never posted another picture on your blog, I would still read it - you.are.that.good!

The perfect gift. :) I know I have been blessed by your prayers before...and am thankful to be in them at any time. You know what the need is already, Sister.

I woke up this morning in need of prayer. I'm always happy to click on your link but feel that, today, it was somehow providential.

My son is returning from college this weekend. Things were not great in our home this summer before he left. I'm anxious to see him, but also just sort of anxious. Old habits die hard, they say, and can only be transformed by the power of the gospel and prayer. This is where you come in, I believe. Thank you. (He reads my blog, so please don't mention anything over there)
