A picture

I have lost the blogging mojo.
I cannot shake this cough.
I still feel like heck.
I can't sleep from the hacking.
I got new meds today.
Whooping cough is rampant in our burg.
I pray that is not my case.
Bootcamp is good,
but it is a lot of reading and logging.
My dad is not doing too well.
Life is harder every day.
Pray for us.
I am sad and I am sick.
I just want to lay in the sun.
I hope to get back to my blathering
but, for now I just don't have it in me.
Most my grands are sick with fevers.
I really, really cannot wait for Spring.
I want to dig in the dirt and
fly kites with the littles.
I haven't read blogs or commented in so long.
I miss you and your stories.
I will be back.
I promise.
For today, I am sharing a picture
my sister, Linda sent to me.
I adore it.
I think Jackie and I were about 2.

Jackie is brown like Dad.
I am the opalescent/translucent one.
I love this picture so much.
Now you know why I don't lay in the sun.
I am a woods girl,
because my skin demands it.
Count your blessings and
have a great weekend friends!

What a great picture, Sweet Janie.
Now you take care and try to rest in Jesus' arms.
He will carry you.

Love that picture. SO cute.
I hope that you feel better. Try the VIcks thing. I hear it works. Putting it on your feet at bedtie and wearing socks.
I am better but I swear I think I've had mono. I think so many are getting sick later this year. I stood at the bus stop with several families. We were all in our little families as everyone had something they didn't want to spread.
Will pray for you and your family.

Dear friend, loosing your dad is hard stuff. Even though he's here, he's not. I cannot begin to understand that aspect, but my heart hurts for you. Loss is just not a fun part of life. Add that to the life style change of boot camp, and then this horrid sickness. You are being triple-teamed in the stress department!

As to missing the blogs...rest assured we are all writing our best stuff, ;) and here you are missing it!!!! tsk tsk tsk.

Such cutie pie toddlers!

"Jesus, you are the magnificent healer and we thank you for that. You know the aches in Janies heart and body. You know what is needed for healing in both. We ask for your presence to heal her breaking heart, fill it with joy and peace of sweet memories. And this sickness that is plagueing so many, may your ministering angels encompass all those suffering and may good health come to them. Give them wisdom in daily activities, knowing when to rest and be kind to themselves. Jesus...you are good and we give you thanks. In your name, amen."

take care of yourself lady, you are worth it.

Oh sweetie...I know your pain,it is so very hard to watch your Daddy slip away before your very eyes. The sweet memories like your picture of you 2 and your Daddy will come to mean more than you know. I also say a prayer for you,my dear friend...for your breaking heart, mind and ailing body...I pray the Lord gives you comfort and eases your pain and that he fills you with the all encompassing white light of Heaven above. I know you keep him in your heart in all that you do,and remembering He is never-failing...in Jesus name, amen.
blessings and love~~~Carolyn

Hi Janie, Since my hubby passed away in 2010, I often look at pics of him and treasure the memories. Those memories get me through some tough times when I'm feeling low. Life is definitely an adventure . . . Trust God . . . he'll get you through this one. Hoping to feel better real soon. Sandy:O)

Laying my hands on my computer keyboard and praying for you (which sounds like a very charismatic thing for this Presbyterian girl to do).

I have a very similar picture of my dad, my sister, and me; probably taken at just about the same point in history.

You blather pretty well. For a sick woman.

We've got "something" here, too, but not hacking up lungs or anything. Just not feeling good at all. I am so sorry your dad is not doing well. I lost Mama last year, and I hope you do not have to go through that. Will be praying for you and your family!
